Get Carter
This series of seven drawings was made as a response to the introduction to the movie Get Carter starring Michael Caine. Directed by Mike Hodges, with music by Roy Budd, the opening sequence shows Jack Carter (Caine) travelling by train from London to Newcastle.
In line with the bleak 1971 gangster movie, the drawings are made using the unforgiving medium of oil pastel. Nothing is erased in the making, thereby allowing the medium to help drive and determine the results.
