Drawing in Charcoal in School: 

National Society for Education in Art and Design article

 

Following an exhibition I was approached by the Head of Knop Law School in Newcastle. Drawing from nature on field trips invariably showed very similar drawings of trees and leaves - could children move away from semiotic drawing and make a more independent and observed response?

This article discusses the workshops involved and how by retaining the focus on learning, this in turn provided significant outcomes.
